For over 50 years, we&#8217;ve helped a broad range of health and human service organizations across Canada deliver excellence to the people they serve.<\/h6>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8f639c8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8f639c8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Background\n\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aeaa3d9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"aeaa3d9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>CAC&#8217;s background story began in 1974 as a part of the Alberta Association of Services for Children and Families (AASCF), now ALIGN Community Services.<br>CAC&#8217;s story began in 1974 as part of the Alberta Association of Services for Children and Families (AASCF), now ALIGN Community Services.<\/p>\n<p>Our standards are reviewed and updated every four years.<\/p>\n<p>At that time, a Standards Development Project was initiated, grounded in the belief that the evaluation of the quality and success of child welfare programs could only begin after the development of a set of standards. In 1978, the first set of standards were released, titled <em>Standards for Child Care<\/em>.
